B-18 Morning Laps

Ride for 3-4 laps, 18.3-24.4 miles, around Central Park at B-18 pace, in a single-file rotating paceline. We gernerally split into two groups, B-18 and B-19.
Paceline skills experience. Reviewed before the ride.

Weather Factors: Email sent for weather-related cancellations: Fall-Winter: Snow, severe cold (below 30), ice. Spring-Summer_Rain and wet.
START: 6:15 am.
• Please arrive at least 5 minutes before the ride start.
• If you can't make it please take yourself off the ride list.
• The goal is a good, fun workout.
Emphasis on safety, consistency, cadence/tempo, communication, and smooth-riding as a group in a paceline.
• Gear selection and proper shifting reviewed.
• Bring water and a spare tube to fix a flat, just in case.

Before You Ride

  • Make sure your bike is in GOOD working order.
  • Pump up tires to the pressure specified on the sidewall.
  • Bring essentials: helmet, 2 spare tubes, pump, patch kit, 2 water bottles, pocket food, ID, and cash (credit optional).
  • Eat a good breakfast consisting of carbohydrates and proteins.

Bicycle helmets are required head attire for all NYCC Club rides.

Earphones are not allowed while riding. Aerobars are not allowed while riding.

If you signed up and find you cannot make the ride, please remove yourself and open the slot for others.
