This route takes you through many interesting neighborhoods and parks in Queens & Brooklyn. (Neighborhoods are named on the cue sheet, so you'll know where you are.) Lunch is at Bejako Sekuwa, a Nepalese restaurant. If you’ve never dined on boiled intestines of goat or ostrich meat here’s your chance. En route to lunch there’s a short stop at Machpelah Cemetery in Cypress Hills to view the gravesite of Harry Houdini. As we ride through Forest Hills we will point out Forest Hills High School, Alma mater of Simon & Garfunkel. Along the way we explore scenic Queens parks: Highland Park, Forest Park, and view the spectacular homes in Forest Hills Gardens. The return takes us over the Kosciuszko Bridge bike path with it’s fabulous view of Manhattan. Ride ends at Manhattan Bridge with an optional extension for those who want more miles; a route through Brooklyn and into the Rockaways for an NYC Ferry return.
